The time has finally come where I am no longer a one woman show! For the first 5 years of my business, I felt the need to do everything by myself or I was worried it wouldn't feel like I was running my own business. I would set-up, tear-down, coordinate and photograph weddings all on my own, occasionally hiring a helping hand for just a couple hours.
There's a chance I'm a bit of a control freak, but I realized if I was going to be able to sustain this career long-term and grow my business, I needed help.
This fall I have officially hired the first employee of Emily Summer Studios!
EVERYONE, MEET KINZIE!
" Everyone asks me when I knew I wanted to be a wedding planner, but honestly, it was just something I always knew since I was a little girl. I even did a school project on what it would take to be a wedding planner my freshman year of high school.
My senior year of high school I moved to Austin, Texas and used it as a way to get ahead of the game by job shadowing for a wedding planner and owner of the company Blue Boot Events. She had been wedding planning for years before that, but her company was very new so it was awesome to get to see all the ins and outs of a new business and to watch the growth and be a part of it.
As soon as I graduated from high school, it turned into an official job and from then on every weekend was filled with at least one wedding, sometimes even three, and countless hours spent in the office working on timelines, floor plans and seating charts. It’s amazing to have a job where you look forward to waking up early on a Saturday morning and working 12+ hours straight on your feet.
I truly cherish how rewarding this job is! Every wedding is something new and it never gets mundane. Meeting the couples and hearing their love story is my favorite part of it all! I’m a total hopeless romantic at heart. "
fun facts about Kinzie:
She can sing and play piano ( need an event planner and wedding singer in one? ;)
Her favorite color is pink and she love love loves sparkles
She is attending the University of Montana to obtain a degree in Hospitality

When Kinzie isn't planning a wedding, you can find her working at Florence Coffee Co, playing with her two Australian Shepard pups, or spending time with her family - watching her brother's football games or her little sister's dance recitals.
I am so exited to make Kinzie a part of the Emily Summer Studios team and I know you will love her too!
